Grass Fed Difference

What makes our beef better than the beef you get at the grocery store?  It is grass-fed!  No fillers are used which means the end product is lower in fat and calories than commercial skinless chicken and grain fed beef according to eatwild.com!  The picture below truly is worth 1000 words!  We can consistently produce beef in the choice grade without feeding our cattle fillers and unnatural products used to add weight.  The end product is one that is tasty, well marbled and yet very healthy for you!

According to a California State University study, cattle “diet significantly altered the lipid profiles within beef.  Grass diets produced a product lower in overall Saturated Fatty Acid, higher in Polyunsaturated Fatty Acids and a more desirable Omega 6 to 3 ratio.  Grass-based rations increased Omega 3 Fatty Acids by 40% over standard grain fed beef!”  See the chart and results from the study below!  Click on the picture or HERE to link directly to the study website where you can download a readable copy of this report.

According to eatwild.com, “meat, eggs, and dairy products from pastured animals are ideal for your health. Compared with commercial products, they offer you more “good” fats, and fewer “bad” fats. They are richer in antioxidants; including vitamins E, beta-carotene, and vitamin C. Furthermore, they do not contain traces of added hormones, antibiotics or other drugs.”

The charts below summarize some of these important benefits. Click on either of the charts for a link back to the website for the full study.
